Does the phone need to be turned on in order to track?

Yes, in order for CoughPro to track and record coughs, the phone itself must be turned on. The app is designed to work in the background and can track and record coughs even if the display is turned off or if the app is not the active (front) screen on the phone. However, the phone must be turned on and the app must be running for the tracking to occur. Additionally, tracking must be "turned on" within the app. If the CoughPro logo is pulsating white, that indicates that tracking is on.
