If you are experiencing issues with the app not tracking coughs, one issue may be that there is a short delay in the processing of the data. This delay can range from a few moments to an hour. If you have been tracking for an hour and no additional coughs appear on the chart, you can let us know and we will work to resolve any processing issues.
There are a few other factors that can impact the app's ability to detect coughs, such as:
1) The app has been closed by mistake: The app needs to be open to track your coughs. This doesn't mean you need to have the app as your active (front) screen, but do not completely close it, as doing so will stop tracking.
2) Another app is using the microphone: phones usually only allow one application to use the microphone at a time. If another app is using the microphone, it may cause CoughPro to stop tracking. For example, if you get a call at 10 AM, the app will stop tracking and you will have to manually restart the tracking once the call is finished.
3) Cough Tracking is off: From the main screen of the app, go to the top left icon and make sure "Cough Tracking" is on. This will enable the app to track at all times. You can learn more about turning on tracking here.
4) A high level of background noise or the phone being positioned too far away from the mouth.
If none of these solutions work, please reach out to us using the technical feedback option in the app or by sending an email to support@coughpro.com so that we can assist further.
